Family House Connects with Younger Generation and Increases Event Participation with Blackbaud Sphere

Family House, a nonprofit organization operated by a voluntary board of directors, provides a special "home away from home" for patients and families who must travel to Pittsburgh for treatment of serious or life-threatening illnesses. Thanks to the generosity and support of the Pittsburgh community, Family House is able to provide a comfortable haven for guests through stressful times.

The Challenge:

• Family House had a very basic online donation form through Paypal. The organization needed an online donation form that would give it more options and enable it to customize forms to address its donation needs.
• Family House did not have the ability to send mass emails to its constituent base.

• Family House has increased their event reach by 94%, driving traffic to online registration using Blackbaud Sphere.
• The speed of the event registration process has increased by 50%.
• The organization eliminated the time and costs associated with printing, stuffing, and mailing event registration confirmations and thank yous.
• The organization raised $10,000 online for its first event using Blackbaud Sphere.
• The first Polo Match fundraiser using Sphere had 20% of the total ticket sales purchased online.
