Central Bible College Enhances Its Community Experience and Increases Data Integrity with a Suite of Blackbaud Products

The Challenge

Central Bible College had a combination of a DOS-based system and a .NET-based homegrown system. On the finance side, the college was paying to share a connection with Oracle that limited the way the college used account numbers making it difficult to track new projects. Additionally, the college had been informed the Oracle fund accounting solution was scheduled to be decommissioned. Its admissions information and process was on yet another system. And it used Dreamweaver to manage and maintain its website.

The Solution

Central Bible College adapted some very important principles and philosophies after realizing its situation. The school realized that its systems were in such a state that they were unreliable. Data integrity was suffering —ultimately, causing the experiences of its key constituencies to suffer. CBC realized that the effort to clean up its existing data would require far more effort than that required to switch all products to a new provider.

The College needed a single system that would help to enhance the operations and experiences of its entire community: students, faculty, teachers, and alumni. And to help it do this Central Bible College selected a suite of Blackbaud products including The Raiser’s Edge, The Financial Edge, The Education Edge, Blackbaud NetCommunity, Faculty Access for the Web, NetClassroom, and Online Campus Community.
