Society for Jesus New England Saves Money and Gets Increased Security with Blackbaud OnDemand

The Society of Jesus is a Roman Catholic religious order of priests and brothers popularly known as "The Jesuits." It was founded by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1540 when Pope Paul III officially established the Jesuit Order. Today the Jesuits, the largest religious order in the world, continue to serve the church through its diverse ministries. The New England Province is a regional division of the Jesuits and consists of the six New England states: Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. It also sponsors Jesuit works in Amman, Jordan and Jamaica.

The Challenge:

The Society of Jesus New England needed to update its accounting solution and The Raiser’s Edge®.
Installing a new version of the software would require the organization to purchase a new server and pay an outside IT company to maintain it.
The organization wanted to plan for growth and needed a software delivery model that would easily scale.
Because the organization stored its back-ups on site it was concerned that valuable data would be lost should something happen to its facility.
