About Kristen Kristen joined Blackbaud in 2002, bringing with her a broad range of fundraising experience and thorough understanding of all levels of nonprofit operations. Prior to Blackbaud, Kristen served as executive director of the Gateway Charitable Foundation in Chicago, Illinois. Her responsibilities included managing all fundraising activities and overseeing the development team. She also worked for the Chicago Historical Society and Providence-St. Mel School, both Blackbaud clients in Chicago. During her time at these organizations, she held a range of positions in development, membership and general management. At Blackbaud, Kristen specializes in assessment, systems implementation, strategy development, business process improvement, and client-side tactical administration of The Raiser’s Edge. She has served in the principal consulting and project management capacity on some of Blackbaud’s largest projects. She has international fundraising experience, working with clients in the Bahamas, Canada and in the United Kingdom. Kristen is an active member of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Life from the University of Kansas.
